Throwback Thursday – Hostile Vehicle Mitigation Bollards

In times of heightened awareness Sydney Olympic Park Authority, in line with Government guidelines, undertook Risk Assessments in with regard to Public Safety in Crowds and major gatherings.

As a result Pacific FMS, manufactured moulds and created Hostile Vehicle Mitigation Bollards (HVM), which were strategically placed under the instructions of the Sydney Olympic Park Authority’s Operations Team.

These photos depict the loading of bollards at Taree for transport to SOP.  HVM’s were then deployed to the then, ANZ Stadium, now ACCOR Stadium, Qudos Bank Arena and other strategic locations within the Urban Core of Sydney Olympic Park.

These bollards were the beginning of change and are now accompanied by HVM blocks and a series of automated bollards throughout the Urban Core of SOP.
